These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made from  Ken Beard & Son Ltd, including online purchases made through our Shopify store and direct retail sales.

By placing an order with Ken Beard & Son Ltd, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Products & Availability

We supply premium bathroom products, tiles, brassware, furniture, decorative homeware, kitchen products, and related accessories.

All products are subject to availability.

We reserve the right to amend specifications, discontinue products, or substitute equivalent products where necessary due to supplier availability, manufacturing changes, or supply chain disruption.

Product images, mood boards, room visuals, and renders are for illustrative purposes only and may not exactly represent final products, colours, finishes, layouts, or scale.

Tile shades, textures, veining, and sizing may vary naturally between batches.


3. Pricing & VAT

All prices displayed are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

Delivery charges are calculated separately where applicable.

We reserve the right to amend prices at any time prior to order confirmation.

Where pricing errors occur, we reserve the right to cancel or amend affected orders before dispatch.


4. Payments

Payment must be received in full before goods are dispatched unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We accept payments via approved payment methods available at checkout, including card payments, finance options, and bank transfer where offered.

Orders remain the property of Ken Beard & Son Ltd until paid for in full.


5. Finance

Finance options are subject to status, affordability checks, and lender approval.

Ken Beard & Son Ltd acts as an introducer only and is not the lender.

Finance terms are provided separately by the finance provider.


6. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • manufacturers
  • couriers
  • pallet networks
  • adverse weather
  • customs delays
  • supplier shortages
  • circumstances outside our reasonable control

Customers must ensure:

  • safe and suitable delivery access
  • somebody is available to accept delivery where required
  • products are inspected promptly upon arrival

Large or heavy deliveries may be kerbside or pallet delivery only.

Failed deliveries or redelivery requests may incur additional charges.


7. Damages & Missing Items

Any damages, shortages, or incorrect items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Photographic evidence may be required.

Claims submitted outside this timeframe may not be accepted by our suppliers or delivery partners.

Products must not be installed if damage or faults are identified before installation.

Installed products are deemed accepted.


8. Returns & Cancellations

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers purchasing online have the right to cancel eligible orders within 14 days of delivery.

To qualify for a return:

  • items must be unused
  • items must be uninstalled
  • items must be in original packaging
  • items must be suitable for resale

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless goods are faulty or supplied incorrectly.

Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless legally required.

We strongly recommend insured and trackable return services.


9. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable unless faulty:

  • made-to-order products
  • bespoke products
  • cut-to-size materials
  • special-order items
  • clearance products
  • opened sanitaryware
  • opened toilet seats
  • adhesive, grout, sealant, or chemical products
  • tile orders from mixed or discontinued batches
  • products damaged after delivery
  • installed products

Bathroom collections containing special-order items may be partially or fully non-returnable once ordered from suppliers.


10. Tiles & Natural Materials

Tiles should be inspected prior to installation.

Natural variation in shade, texture, size, and finish is a characteristic of many tile and stone products and does not constitute a defect.

Customers should order sufficient quantities, including wastage allowance.

We cannot guarantee future batch matching.

Claims relating to installed tiles will not be accepted.


11. Decorative Homeware

Decorative items are intended for interior domestic use unless otherwise stated.

Hand-finished products may contain natural imperfections and variations.


12. Product Suitability

Customers are responsible for ensuring products are suitable for their intended installation and environment.

Professional installation by suitably qualified tradespeople is strongly recommended.

Ken Beard & Son Ltd accepts no responsibility for:

  • incorrect installation
  • installer error
  • substrate failure
  • inadequate preparation
  • misuse
  • lack of maintenance


13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ken Beard & Son Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • indirect losses
  • consequential losses
  • loss of profit
  • contractor costs
  • delayed installation costs
  • accommodation expenses
  • third-party labour costs

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.


14. Intellectual Property

All website content, designs, room concepts, images, branding, product descriptions, and marketing materials remain the property of Ken Beard & Son Ltd unless otherwise stated.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.


15. Privacy

Customer data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK GDPR legislation.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
